Database Manager

Stylus / London

The Database Manager supports and maintains key Sales and Marketing systems, data and the creation and maintenance of effective business processes. They are the key point of contact for system users within these departments, providing training, support and guidance on best practice in the application of these systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Database Management 

  • Improving the effectiveness of the SalesForce database
  • Segment and manage data profiling lists coupled with the ability to develop and document processes and workflows to improve campaign efficiency and effectiveness
  • Understanding and ensuring effectiveness of current and future data integrations between CRM and other systems (including apps)
  • Ensuring all the data complies with legal regulations and supporting the GDPR compliance initiative 
  • Monitoring database performance
  • Building new databases and managing data suppliers 
  • Monitoring data entry procedures

Process management and Data quality

  • Creating and amending SalesForce workflows
  • Capture and record new processes, upkeep of process documentation, and communications to affected personnel
  • Support and coordinate continual improvement in the maintenance of company data across systems

Reporting systems

  • Expert user and trainer on SalesForce. Producing regular and ad hoc reports; define, build and roll-out new reports according to business needs
  • Create and maintain Stylus reporting systems to streamline and improve transparency; continual improvement of systems used including; SalesForce, Marketo and Tableau 
  • Create and build SalesForce dashboards to support sales performance and forecasting

Inter-departmental communication 

  • Communicate CRM/data priorities to company and wider team to support effective cooperation in existing and new activities and lead on continuous improvement initiatives
  • Central point of contact for sales and marketing staff for customer-facing system issues, including investigation and resolution

Systems support and End-User training

  • Day-to-day support and maintenance of all sales and marketing systems, including user set-up and training, data accuracy and integrity, back-ups and disaster recovery processes
  • Co-ordination of sales and marketing system training and best practice documentation; co-ordination of project and system change requests log including priority and status

Business Projects

  • Undertake projects as directed by the Marketing or Sales Manager to investigate, analyse and implement change/develop functionality in line with strategic objectives; provide Managers with impact assessment / options for decision-makingAutomation support 
  • Provide technical development, delivery and support to the Marketing Team through advanced configuration, reports and workflow

Required Skills and Qualities 

  • SalesForce Administrative Level qualified as a minimum
  • Understanding of data integrations between CRMs and other systems
  • Previous experience of marketing automation systems (Marketo would be advantageous)
  • Tableau and SQL experience desirable 
  • Genuinely passionate about all things data 
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong project management skills 
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Written communication to be clear, accurate and appropriate using concise business English 
  • Excellent problem solving skills and a strong analytical approach
  • Experience in managing suppliers/agencies
  • Will have a thirst for knowledge, keep up to date and stay ahead of data and analytic trends
  • Proactive and adept at managing stakeholders.

Content Manager (Maternity Cover)

Stylus / London

We are looking for a Content Manager to cover maternity leave from August 2017 for a minimum of six months. Supporting our busy Content team, the position would suit someone with at least five years’ experience in a similar role, with strong organisational, management and editing skills.

You will enjoy problem solving and seeing assignments through from beginning to end. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment on multiple jobs simultaneously, from proofreading to project management. With experience in analytics programmes and CMS, you’ll be happy to turn your hand to practical tasks great and small.

Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – are a must. The candidate will work closely with the Content & Creative Director, and will liaise with teams throughout the business including IT, Sales, Marketing and other companies within Stylus Media Group.

Strategic Account Director

Stylus / London

Stylus is looking to hire a Strategic Account Director to help grow our existing accounts across multiple verticals including Food, Beverage & Hospitality, FMCG and Beauty. 

The role requires the ability to understand marketing, growth, strategy and design issues a B2B client may have, and reinforce the Stylus product suite as a solution to these issues. 
Our clients’ requirements will often extend into advisory, so the role requires a candidate comfortable with upselling, as well as one able to cultivate longer term C-level relationships.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years B2B sales and account management experience ideally gained from selling subscriptions or consultancy into B2C companies and agencies.  

To be able to fully articulate the Stylus offering, the candidate must have a demonstrable interest in innovation, marketing, branding and design. Related experience in the Food, Beverage & Hospitality, FMCG and / or Beauty industries is preferable. Impeccable presentation and communication skills are essential.

We are looking for freelance beauty writers to work with our UK and US Content teams. 

You will be an enthusiastic researcher and writer, with at least four years’ professional writing experience and specialist knowledge of tracking insights and innovations in the beauty industry.

Strong writing and visual analysis skills are essential, as is the enthusiasm to report on and research a broad range of beauty-related subjects, including ingredients, sustainability, consumer attitudes and retail/commercial concepts. Our reporting is global, but knowledge of regional markets would be a plus.
