Key responsibilities:

  • Keeping multiple projects on track, liaising with the Advisory team and our clients to ensure the key stages of projects are completed (scoping projects, approving outlines, gathering feedback from check-in calls, organising on-site and web-conference deliveries)

Content Director, Events

Stylus / London

We are looking for a Content Director to lead our Decoded Future events portfolio. Newly launched this year, our Decoded Future Summits bring together change-makers and visionaries from over 600+ global brands, retailers, agencies, startups and technology companies to discover, explore, learn and connect.

The Content Director will be expected to research and construct the programmes for all Decoded Future events. They will have ultimate control over all content, but will also manage the other event functions: sponsorship, marketing, delegate sales and operations. They will be the line manager for our small but passionately dedicated events team. They will be expected to develop and evolve our global event strategy, whilst keeping a tight control of the events P&L. Working across various departments within Stylus, they must be able to engage with different stakeholders to ensure business continuity and co-operation across teams. They must also be client-facing and develop key industry relationships in our target market verticals.

The Content Director will report directly to the COO and will be a member of the Stylus senior management team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for Decoded Future events, from inception through to delivery
  • Research and develop the event programmes for the Decoded Future Summits, ensuring they contain top level content and high calibre speakers
  • Build strong business relationships with an extensive network of key industry contacts, including speakers, sponsors and associations
  • Monitor and understand competitor activity in the Stylus markets
  • Ensure the Stylus events team audit market needs, market dynamics and database development requirements before launching products
  • Identify and drive through new business opportunities that will benefit the Stylus event portfolio
  • Uphold and promote the quality and reputation of Stylus within its chosen markets
  • Attend regular meetings with the Decoded Future Strategic Partnerships Manager
  • Assist with the sales effort on Stylus events
  • Manage and guide the Stylus events team to ensure they perform to the best of their ability
  • Work closely with other members of the Stylus senior management team to further develop Stylus’ event portfolio
  • Manage relationships with freelance staff

This role is for a self-starter that can work within a team of developers implementing and supporting various projects across the business. The Developer will be responsible for assisting in the development of a range of systems across the company. The majority of work will be on the website using .NET based technology, both internal and external tools.

Systems Development:

  • Design and documentation of complex technical solutions 
  • Participation in all stages of the solution life cycle from pre-sales to support.
  • Support existing and new functionality across all systems.
